A Trip to Lombok Island

We have been desiring to visit Lombok Island since long time a go. We had heard alot about Lombok. The good things and  the bad things. I learned  a bit deeper about Lombok from an Indonesian book  tittle "Maryam" written by Okky Madasari. It  was about the Ahmadiya community in Lombok. They suffered from the  other people because  of their different Islam. I will not talk about this novel now, maybe sometime latter I will  talk about this novel.

A friend of mine in my office tempted us to go Lombok and visit around the island. Well, now we got the time to viist Lombok together with my family. My wife had made the arrangment long time before, maybe about one month before this flew to Lombok.

We flew to Lombok at a Saturday early morning in  22 June 2013. My wife selected this very early flight in order we could have  enough time to spend on the first day in Lombok. We landed in Bandar Udara Internasional Lombok ( BIL ) around 8  in the morning. This was a new airport of Lombok. The old airpor was Selaparang airport close to Mataram. The BIL is about in the center of the Island.
