Circumcision is one of Islamic religion obligation. So it does in Sundanese tradition who has been following Islamic religion for long time ago. So circumcision has become an important part of Sundanese tradition. In Sundanese, a boy ussually get circumcised at the age of 6 to 8 years old. Ussually there would be 20 to 30 boys participated in the mass circumcision. Before the traditional mass cisrcumcision, the village hold a celebration party with traditional ceremony. The party intended to appreciate the boy who like to be circumcised and cheers them before circumcised. Also,the important one is to ask the bless of God, so the procedure will work safely.
